How it works
Four steps, then it just happens
Set it up once at the start of the semester. After that, the only thing you do is come home.
1. Pick your room
Sign up, then choose your building, your unit and which bedroom is yours. That is the whole setup.
2. Subscribe
$40 a month for your bedroom and bathroom. Add a card and your room joins the weekly route.
3. Set your day and window
Your floor sets your default cleaning day — pick a different weekday anytime, then the 2-hour window that fits around class.
4. Come home to clean
Before and after photos land in your account. Rate your cleaner, tip if you want to.
Clean space, clear mind
Your room isn’t just a room. It’s your recovery zone.
The state of your space shows up in your sleep, your stress and your ability to concentrate. Between midterms, deadlines and everything else, a clean room isn’t a luxury — it’s a performance edge.

Less clutter, less cortisol
Clutter is not only distracting — it raises your body’s stress hormone. People who described their homes as cluttered showed measurably elevated cortisol across the whole day, not just in the stressful parts of it.
“People with cluttered homes had higher cortisol profiles all day long — their stress hormones never fully recovered.”
UCLA / Personality & Social Psychology Bulletin A clean bedroom means better sleep
Sleep is the biggest performance lever a student has, and the bedroom is the first variable you can actually control. Dust, allergens and general disorder all push against it — clean sheets alone move the number.
“Between two-thirds and three-fourths of survey respondents said a clean room was essential to a good night’s sleep.”
National Sleep Foundation Sharper focus, higher performance
Neuroscience research at Princeton showed that visual clutter competes with whatever you are trying to do, eating into working memory and slowing you down. A clean room is a measurable head start on finals week.
“Physical clutter in your surroundings competes for your attention, resulting in decreased performance and increased stress.”
Princeton Neuroscience Institute
The part nobody prices in
The hidden cost of cleaning it yourself
Most of that benefit gets eaten back when you’re the one holding the mop. Chores are one of the fastest ways to start an argument with a roommate, and the hours come out of a week you needed for something else. SWEEP delivers the outcome — a spotless room — without the effort cost, so you keep the wellbeing and skip the guilt, the negotiating and the lost study time.
- $10 a week
- Weekly professional clean
- Zero effort on your end
- No roommate chore chart
Pricing
One price. No per-visit maths.
A bedroom subscription is $10 a week, billed monthly. Shared spaces come with it once your whole unit is in.
Bedroom plan
Your room, every week.
$10/week
Billed $40/month per bedroom
- Your bedroom, cleaned weekly
- Your private bathroom, cleaned weekly
- The weekday and 2-hour window you choose
- Before and after photos every visit
- Rate and tip your cleaner
Shared spaces
Kitchen and living room.
$10/week per unit
Unlocked when all roommates subscribe
- Kitchen and living room, cleaned weekly
- No second charge — it’s part of the same subscription
- Turns on by itself the week your unit is complete
- Vacant rooms never count against your unit
One holdout roommate doesn’t cost you your own clean — your bedroom and bathroom are done every week regardless.
Welcome Clean
The first time anyone in your unit subscribes, we do a deeper first visit: that student’s bedroom and bathroom plus the kitchen and living room — shared spaces included even before the rest of the unit signs up. It’s how a semester of “we’ll do it this weekend” gets reset to zero.
- Your room and bathroom, plus the kitchen and living room
- Happens once, on your unit’s first clean
- Then the weekly bedroom rhythm takes over
The honest fine print
- You’re billed $40 a month, auto-renewing, per bedroom. “$10/week” is how that price breaks down — SWEEP never charges weekly.
- Cancel before your next billing date. You keep every clean the month you already paid for.
- A successful payment unlocks next month’s scheduling. If a payment fails, scheduling pauses until the card is fixed — we email you first.
- Shared spaces are conditional, not extra. They’re cleaned when every occupied room in the unit is subscribed, and on the Welcome Clean.
Roommates & shared spaces
The kitchen waits for everybody
Your own room is yours alone. The shared parts of the unit only get cleaned when every occupied room is subscribed — one simple rule, applied the same way every week.
3 of 4 rooms subscribed
Partially subscribed- Each subscriber’s bedroom, weekly
- Each subscriber’s bathroom, weekly
- Kitchen — skipped this week
- Living room — skipped this week
- The unsubscribed bedroom is not entered
4 of 4 rooms subscribed
Fully subscribed- Every bedroom, weekly
- Every bathroom, weekly
- Kitchen, weekly
- Living room, weekly
You don’t link roommates manually
There’s no group to create and nobody to invite. SWEEP already knows how many rooms your unit has and which ones are occupied, and it compares that to the rooms with an active subscription. Vacant rooms never count against you — a 4×4 with three people living in it needs three subscriptions, not four. The week the last person joins, the kitchen and living room turn on by themselves.
Floor → day
One floor, one day, one pass
Cleaners work a building floor block by floor block. That’s where your default day comes from — and why the price is $10 a week instead of $80 a visit.
Your floor sets your default cleaning day — pick a different weekday anytime. The default shows on your dashboard the moment you pick your room, and Monday through Friday are all open to you.
You choose the 2-hour window. Service hours run 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, in 4 windows. Change the day or the window up to Friday 11:59 PM for the week ahead.
Your building’s mapping is its own. The stack shown here is West Campus Lofts, our demo building. Yours is set by its admin and may split the floors differently.

SWEEP is brand new in West Campus, so there are no five-star quotes here yet — we would rather show you photos of your own room after every visit than reviews from people you have never met.
FAQ
The questions everyone asks
What actually gets cleaned?
Every week: your bedroom and your bathroom. Floors, surfaces, trash, the shower, the sink, the mirror — the things that pile up when you have three midterms.
The kitchen and living room are shared spaces. They get cleaned once every occupied room in your unit has an active subscription, and on your unit’s one-time Welcome Clean.
Do I need to be home?
No. Most people aren’t. You pick a 2-hour window, your cleaner works during it, and before-and-after photos show up in your account when they’re done. If you’d rather be there, pick a window you know you’re free.
Can I pick a different day?
Yes. Your floor sets your default cleaning day — it’s how a whole floor gets cleaned in one pass, which is what keeps this at $10 a week instead of $80 a visit. From your schedule page you can move to any weekday, Monday through Friday, along with the 2-hour window. Changes lock at Friday 11:59 PM for the week ahead.
Each day and window holds a limited number of rooms, so a popular slot can fill up — when it does, SWEEP shows you the closest open ones. And if something comes up after the cutoff, send a one-week exception from your dashboard; an admin reviews it and you’re notified either way. Your standing day stays as it is.
What if my roommates don’t subscribe?
You still get your bedroom and bathroom cleaned every week — your subscription is yours. The kitchen and living room simply wait until everyone living in the unit is subscribed. Vacant rooms never count against you.
How does billing work?
$40 per month per bedroom, auto-renewing, on the card you add at sign-up. “$10 a week” is how that breaks down across four cleans — SWEEP never charges you weekly.
A successful monthly payment unlocks next month’s scheduling. If a payment fails, scheduling pauses, we email you, and Stripe retries. Cancel any time before your next billing date.
Who is cleaning my room?
Local cleaners we vet, train and assign to your building — many of them running small, family-owned businesses. They clock in and out of each visit in the app, and you rate every clean. Consistently great cleaners get the routes they want.
